Site Credits

TasherCurry.com was designed by BrightBold as a gift from Kelley Curry, Nick’s sister.

The site is built in hand-coded XHTML 1.0 Strict with CSS 2 and CSS 3. It should work in all major browsers, but it is most beautiful and functional in browsers that use modern web standards, such as Firefox and Chrome. If you’re using Internet Explorer 7 or 8, consider switching browsers for a better web experience, or come back in 2011 when Internet Explorer 9 has been released. If you’re using Internet Explorer 6, your browser is more than 10 years old, so you can’t reasonably expect to be having a great experience on the web, can you?

Typography

Water Street, League Gothic, and Chopin Script are all licensed for use as web fonts using @font-face. The @font-face kits for Water Street and League Gothic were created using the fabulous Font Squirrel @font-face Generator.

Photography

Most photos on the site were taken by Nick and Cara and their friends and family. Zac Wolf’s Georgia Aquarium photo is licensed for use under the Creative Commons license. The photos on the registry page were taken from Williams-Sonoma’s, Crate and Barrel’s, and Bed Bath and Beyond’s sites, but since we’re promoting their merchandise I doubt they’ll mind.

Interactivity

The photo gallery on the Home Sweet Home page was created with the jQuery plugin Galleria by Aino.

The guest book is powered by GBook PHP Guestbook, heavily modded to add Gravatar support and use semantic markup, because we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The wedding participants page was created entirely with hand-coded CSS, based on a technique in Andy Clarke’s Transcending CSS. No javascript required (well, except for older versions of Internet Explorer.) How cool is that?

Thanks for visiting the site and I look forward to seeing you at the wedding!
